  4. This Read Me file contains the latest DATA on DISC information 
  5. and program installation instructions. The Acrobat Reader On-line 
  6. Guide (Acrobat Reader Help) also provides essential information 
  7. to help you begin using Acrobat Reader 2.1.

  43. Installation
  44. ===================

  46. In order to install DATA on DISC on your systems please follow EXACTLY the 
  47. following steps:

  49. Windows Users:
  50.  
  51. - Insert the CD in your CD-ROM reader
  52. - To install DATA on DISC on your hard drive, from the Windows 
  53.   Program Manager, choose Run from the File menu; type 
  54.   [cd-drive]:\winsetup.exe 
  55. - Follow the instructions on your screen.
  56. - Installation requires approximately 3 MB of free hard disk space. 
  57. - Check your installation by doubleclicking the DATA on DISC icon in the DATA 
  58.   on DISC program group or doubleclicking welcome.pdf in File Manager.
  59.   
  60.   NOTE: Other ways of activating DATA on DISC will give unpredictable results.

  71. - Mount the CD on the system
  72. - Change the working directory to  /your_cdrom_mount_point (/cdrom/cdrom0 on 
  73.   most systems)
  74. - Run the installation script "./sunsetup"
  75. - Define a symbolic link such as 
  76.   "ln -s /opt/AcroRead/bin/acroread  /usr/bin/acroread" (if you used the  
  77.   installation area /opt/AcroRead default)
  78. - Define for each user an alias such as 
  79.   "alias dataondisc='acroread /cdrom/cdrom0/welcome.pdf &'"
  80. - Check your installation by executing "dataondisc"
